When purchasing a retail MagicBand in a merchandise location or online through shopDisney, personalization is not available. You will need to link your MagicBand to your My Disney Experience account by using the code printed on the inside of the band.

Can you design your own Magic Band?
There are unique designs only available at Magic Kingdom. Once you make your personalized band you receive an order number. You will tell the cashier your order number and you will pay for it. You will get a slip of paper with your order number on it to claim it when the band is done.
Are MagicBands going away?
Current MagicBands will continue to be available, too, along with the complimentary Disney MagicMobile service that extends MagicBand features, such as park entry, to smart devices. MagicBand+ will help immerse you in Disney stories and connect with characters you love like never before.
How long do MagicBand batteries last?
Long Battery Life Disney has suggested that the MagicBands will remain active for approximately two years before the battery dies. The oldest of the ones that we have are reaching that point and we haven’t had any issues yet with any of them dying.
